Assistant Editor - Watch Team

ESPN's Audience Engagement team is seeking a highly motivated Assistant Editor in support of our delivery of video content to multiple digital platforms, including mobile, web and OTTs. Primary responsibilities include creation of custom artwork viewable by ESPN fans for unauthenticated and authenticated VOD and Live airings.Responsibilities:The Assistant Editor will work across internal teams to troubleshoot unexpected behavior on the streaming app during live windowsThe Assistant Editor will work with senior shift leaders to execute on-platform tasks such as metadata updates, platform moves, and schedule/event quality controlThe Assistant Editor will be given a sport assignment along with a senior member of the team – Responsibilities include custom creative needs, tentpole awareness and planning, and communication with internal partners.The Assistant Editor will create VOD and Live airing custom artwork using design software such as Photoshop, ensure it is accurately uploaded into central art software and displaying correctly across all digital platformsQualifications: Minimum 1 years' experience in sports digital media/and or marketingExperience in digital content management systemsGeneral Photoshop skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple and varied tasksStrong sports knowledge relating to teams, players, and storylinesPreferred Qualifications:Sports takes place on nights, weekends, and holidays – and those shifts will be regular and requiredExperience working with a variety of digital content management systemsRequired Education:High School DiplomaPreferred EducationB.S./B.A. degree in communication arts, journalism or new media or equivalent combination of education experience.Additional Information:Must be able to work nights/holidays/weekendsESPNMediaThe hiring range for this position in Bristol, CT is $44,700 to $59,800_ per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
