The Marketing Specialist supports the Sr. Director of Marketing & Innovation in executing marketing, sales enablement, customer research, innovation, and brand-building initiatives for Ellison’s food ingredient portfolio. This role helps translate technical product capabilities into clear, compelling, customer-facing materials that support Commercial growth priorities. The position will assist with campaign execution, trade show coordination, content development, customer and category research, product launch support, and marketing analytics to strengthen Ellison’s market presence and support new business development. This is an entry level position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns that highlight the unique benefits of our food ingredients across multiple channels (digital, print, trade shows, webinars).
Support the development of sales enablement tools, including customer presentations, product sell sheets, capability decks, application stories, case studies, sample support materials, and customer-specific marketing content.
Develop the innovation pipeline by gathering market insights, identifying category trends, tracking customer needs, preparing concept briefs, and assisting with internal innovation presentations and customer-facing concept materials.
Manage content creation for our website, social media, and email marketing—ensuring messaging is both technically accurate and commercially engaging.
Conduct customer, category, competitor, and consumer trend research to support strategic account planning, innovation priorities, product positioning, and commercial growth initiatives.
Maintain brand consistency across marketing materials and manage the organization of digital assets, templates, product photography, sell sheets, logos, presentations, and approved messaging.
Coordinate our presence at industry trade shows and events, from booth design to lead generation follow-up, including booth logistics, promotional materials, sample coordination, pre-show communications, lead capture, post-show follow-up tracking, and sales team support.
Track and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights to optimize future initiatives., including engagement, lead generation, trade show leads, website activity, email performance, and sales follow-up effectiveness through CRM and other tools.

Qualification Requirements:
2+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the food ingredient, food manufacturing, or B2B food sector.
Strong understanding of food industry trends, ingredient functionality, and regulatory considerations.
Proven ability to translate technical product details into clear, compelling marketing messages.
Experience with marketing tools such as HubSpot, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Analytics.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
A collaborative mindset and the confidence to work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams.
Willingness to travel for customer meetings, plant visits, and industry events.
