Responsibilities
Monitors production schedules.
Supports, coordinates, schedules, and maintains all manufacturing activities in aseptic production.
Supervises and coordinates the activities of employees engaged in component preparations, filling, capping, autoclaving, depy glass, compounding, filtration, filling, lyophilization, and terminal sterilization of finish product production.
Ensures systems and resources are in place to meet production schedules on time and that products are manufactured to specification and in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs, and safety procedures.
Provides and supervises instructions to the manufacturing department to ensure activities follow GMP, safety, SOPs, and policies.
Reviews and updates SOPs, deviations, and CAPAs; performs roles as directed by upper management.
Supervises manufacturing group leaders and hourly staff in proper aseptic techniques and production.
Oversees hourly employees in the performance of their duties.
Develops information and compiles reports on scheduling, production goals, equipment, maintenance problems, and other studies or reports as requested.
Coordinates manpower needs in support of training to achieve personnel training goals.
Monitors data during all manufacturing activities and drives productivity to achieve optimum results.
Implements strategy from upper management and provides clear updates, goals, and direction to the team in support of the daily production plan.
Coordinates with other departments to schedule operations and meet deadlines.
Develops department employees through orientation, training, and clear objectives while building morale and motivation.
Ensures compliance with company policies, cGMPs, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
Monitors and controls production schedules and activities to meet departmental performance objectives and budgets.
Supervises and coordinates production and operating activities for efficient use of personnel, materials, and equipment.
Conducts project reviews to ensure completion of assigned work; reviews documents such as protocols, batch records, deviations, CAPAs, and risk assessments.
Evaluates performance and maintains records; advises management on daily operations and improvement opportunities.
Implements value and process improvement programs and ensures resources are available to manufacture products.
Supports investigations and ensures corrections/modifications are done effectively and timely.
Ensure direct reports are trained and comply with SOPs, GMPs, regulatory requirements, safety, environmental and company policies; listen to feedback from Group Leads and address team input.
Monitor team members’ performance and determine additional training needs; provide leadership to Group Leads and employees daily.
Ensure Batch Production Records are completed and ready for QA review; demonstrate the ability to set up and operate equipment in the work area; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
4 Years – Experience in field or similar manufacturing environment
4 Years – Experience in the position
4 Years – Experience managing people/projects
Experience may include a combination of work experience and education
Preferred Qualifications:
6 Years – Experience in field or similar manufacturing environment
6 Years – Experience working in the position
6 Years – Experience managing people/projects
Competencies

Performs work under direct supervision; handles basic issues and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff
Possesses beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter

Strong attention to detail and organization; intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
Education and Certifications
Education
Minimum Required: Bachelor\'s Degree with a certificate in PLC Programming and Electrical Maintenance or related fields or equivalent experience
Preferred:
Master\'s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
Certification/License
