Job Summary
Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Program Supervisor to support the implementation and daily operations of workforce and experiential learning initiatives. This position provides operational leadership and coordination for credit and noncredit programs, including internships, apprenticeships, service learning, field experiences, undergraduate research, project‑based learning, noncredit workforce development, and community education programs. This position works collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to deliver high‑quality, workforce‑connected learning experiences aligned with institutional priorities and workforce needs.

To best serve the students, department, and college, this position is fully in‑person.

Essential Functions

30% – Coordinates and implements workforce and experiential learning programs aligned with college and district priorities, including credit and noncredit pathways such as project‑based learning and work‑based learning (e.g., internships, apprenticeships, service learning, field experiences, research‑based experiences). Supports community education programs including personal enrichment, Kids College, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) through day‑to‑day program execution and logistics.

25% – Plans, coordinates, and delivers workforce‑focused events, training, and activities for students, faculty, and community participants, including workshops, Work Ready Wednesday, job fairs, employer engagement events, and workforce readiness initiatives. Ensures events align with established workforce goals and support student employability outcomes.

15% – Supports the development and maintenance of partnerships with business, industry, community organizations, and government agencies by coordinating communications, scheduling engagement activities, and facilitating partner participation in programs and events. Serves as an operational point of contact for partners in support of relationships led by the Associate Dean.

20% – Oversees daily program operations, including supervising assigned staff through hiring, scheduling, training, and performance evaluation. Coordinates internally with college departments to ensure smooth delivery of workforce, experiential learning, and community education initiatives, providing operational problem‑solving and continuous improvement.

10% – Manages assigned program budgets and administrative processes, including tracking expenditures and revenues, maintaining documentation, collecting participation and outcome data, and preparing reports. Assists in identifying funding opportunities and supports grant or funding compliance through accurate data collection and reporting. Other duties as assigned commensurate to the grade level of the position.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and, four (4) years of full‑time equivalent related program management experience that includes two (2) years of lead or senior‑level work, preferably in an educational setting.

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full‑time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Desired Qualifications

Experience supporting or managing workforce training and/or experiential learning programs in an educational, nonprofit, or workforce development setting.

Experience developing and sustaining partnerships with faculty, internal departments, and external stakeholders, including coordinating programs, events, and initiatives.

Experience managing and monitoring budgets, including grants, contracts, or other program funding sources.

Experience leading, supervising, and supporting staff, including providing strategic direction and operational guidance.

Experience developing performance measures, assessing outcomes, and creating regular reports to support program evaluation and decision‑making.

Experience coordinating noncredit to credit pathways including ESOL, Personal Enrichment, summer camps, workforce training.

One year of full‑time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two years.

Special Working Conditions
May work evenings and weekends as needed.
