About the Role
We are seeking a District Sales Manager, ENT to manage the achievement of unit and revenue goals for assigned therapy products within a district. This is a field‑based role requiring residence within the territory and driving to multiple accounts. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively are essential.
This role supports Medtronic’s Neuroscience portfolio, specifically the Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Operating Unit. You will partner with the ENT community to understand customer needs and deliver solutions that improve patient access and outcomes.
A Day in the Life
The position involves frequent field visits, training and developing employees, coordinating sales efforts, managing district assets, and ensuring compliance with quality systems.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to achieve short‑ and long‑term business objectives.
Use field visits and meetings to build relationships and conduct customer meetings.
Train and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, and territory management.
Coordinate sales efforts and communicate corporate/divisional goals.
Motivate personnel to achieve unit and revenue goals and provide coaching and performance reviews.
Implement corrective actions and assist with employee development plans.
Apply customer‑focused quality concepts and manage district assets.
Develop and manage budgets and forecasts; ensure efficient use of inventory and expenses.
Negotiate and resolve price and contract issues.
Collaborate with sales reps of other product lines to maximize overall team results.
Build ethical, long‑term customer relationships and represent Medtronic to customers.
Recruit, interview, and hire candidates, meeting workplace diversity goals.
Provide marketing intelligence to sales and marketing management.
Qualifications – Must Have
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience, or
Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant sales and leadership experience.
Nice to Have
Successful medical sales record, preferably with RTG products.
Experience with sales and personnel management.
Knowledge of RTG assigned product/therapy customer base.
Experience in marketing, training, technical services or related areas.
Other Job Requirements
Must be independently mobile and able to work at a computer for extended periods.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds, hear, see, speak fluently, and travel by car and plane.
Must be able to sit and stand 8 hours/day.
Must be able to wear a lead apron for 2–3 hrs on average.
Must be able to operate a vehicle and work in OR and/or Hospital Labs with radiation exposure.
Must be able to conduct company business outside standard Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑5:00 pm.
Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy.

Base salary range: $145,000 – $145,000 (U.S., excluding Puerto Rico). Eligible for an annual long‑term incentive plan and a Sales Incentive Plan.
