The Opportunity HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for an AI-powered customer research platform delivering human insights end-to-end. The company is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to own how the product is positioned, communicated, and understood—both by existing customers and the broader market. This is a high-visibility role for a hands-on, execution-oriented PMM who thrives in startup environments. You will be the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, Go-To-Market teams, and customers—building foundational messaging, lifecycle communications, and product storytelling from the ground up. This role is not designed for overly senior big-company PMMs or candidates without startup exposure. Stable career progression and strong writing ability are essential.
What You'll Do Candidates will be considered for interview based on demonstrated ability to own core product marketing workstreams, including:
Serve as the single-threaded owner of product positioning, messaging, and narrative development
Own the product changelog and education hub, ensuring new features are clearly communicated and easy to adopt
Lead lifecycle marketing for existing customers, including product release emails, newsletters, and customer-facing product communications
Stay tightly aligned with the product roadmap, translating technical updates into compelling customer value
Own and continuously evolve website messaging, including value propositions, ICP language, and use-case storytelling
Build and maintain foundational messaging frameworks across personas, industries, and customer segments
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Leadership to ensure consistent GTM alignment
Operate with speed, autonomy, and strong creative judgment in a high-growth environment
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable) These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered.
4+ years of total B2B marketing experience (4 years is a hard minimum)
4–5 years of product marketing or closely related experience, ideally within B2B SaaS
Demonstrated experience building messaging and positioning frameworks—not just executing campaigns
At least 1 year of startup experience (Series A strongly preferred)
Strong written communication skills with content-heavy execution ability
Ability to operate as a standalone PMM, building structure and narrative independently
Must be able to work onsite in NYC or San Francisco
Stable resume with consistent tenure (no pattern of multiple roles under 1 year)

Writing and content creation portfolio showcasing sharp product storytelling
Experience with lifecycle marketing, product communications, and customer education
Background in high-growth B2B SaaS companies with respected product marketing functions
Experience in AI-powered SaaS platforms or technical B2B product environments
Proven ability to build product marketing foundations from scratch in fast-moving teams
This Role Is Not a Fit For Candidates with less than 4 years of total experience
PMMs coming exclusively from large, mature organizations in overly senior roles
Candidates without startup exposure or hands-on execution experience
Professionals with jumpy backgrounds or repeated short tenures
