POSITION OVERVIEW
The Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with assigned account base customers, with the goal of maximizing sales and profit for each account. The role focuses on expanding CR market penetration within the assigned area while representing the full range of company products and services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
Coordinate the involvement of company personnel to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives.
Lead a joint account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one‑ and three‑year period.
Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
Develop a sales action plan to service high‑growth accounts, collect strategic “intel,” and generate leads to better infiltrate designers, architects, and builders.
Participate actively with local professional organizations linked with CR tactics and strategies.
Create and execute specific plans to introduce and implement CR products in showrooms and key accounts, expanding Pompeii brand penetration.
Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, coordinating necessary company personnel.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES
Meet assigned profitability expectations.
Achieve customer objectives defined by company management.
Complete customer account plans meeting company standards.
Coordinate executive involvement with customer management.
Work closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
Meet quarterly target expectations for the CR‑Display program.
Visit every customer, providing displays at least once per month, with mandatory report visits via email to the Director of Sales.
Strategize, organize assigned territory/region, and plan sales calls weekly.
Develop an action plan to approach designers, architects, and builders during weekly visits.
Promote and execute product knowledge at customer locations and, when possible, invite customers to visit CR branches.
Actively participate and leverage branch events to increase sales.
REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of proven experience in sales and marketing.
Prefer knowledge of the building materials industry.
Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding of CR’s competitors and assist in developing competitive strategies.
Detail‑oriented, highly organized, with a hunter mentality for developing and executing strategic plans.
Strong skills in discovering, creating, and developing new opportunities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong desire to succeed.
Minimum 50% travel on a regional basis to cover the territory.
