Boulderthon is Boulder’s premier road race weekend, bringing together marathon, half marathon, and shorter-distance runners for an iconic Colorado running experience. We’re building the most beloved race in the Rockies, and our partners — local businesses, national brands, and the Boulder community — are at the heart of how we do it.
The Role
The Account Manager owns day-to-day relationships with our sponsors, corporate teams, and key partners. You’ll be the trusted point of contact who turns signed contracts into successful activations, keeps partners coming back year after year, and helps grow accounts over time.
What you’ll do
• Manage a portfolio of sponsor and partner accounts from contract execution through race-day activation and post-event recap
• Coordinate deliverables: signage, expo booths, digital assets, athlete experiences, content collaborations
• Run our corporate team program — group registrations, team experiences, and on-site hospitality
• Build renewal pipeline and identify upsell opportunities; hit retention and revenue targets
• Partner with marketing on co-branded campaigns and email/social inclusion
• Lead sponsor logistics during race week and serve as their on-site contact during race weekend
• Maintain account records, recaps, and reporting in our CRM
You’re a fit if you have
• 2–4 years in account management, sponsorship, partnerships, or client services
• A track record of hitting renewal/revenue targets and keeping clients happy
• Strong written and verbal communication — equally comfortable with a CMO and a local shop owner
• CRM proficiency (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
• Comfort working evenings and weekends during race week and event days
• Bonus: experience in endurance sports, events, or active lifestyle brands
