We serve both B2C and B2B customers such as non‑profits, retailers, and universities through our store and office locations across the United States. Additionally, we help brands and licensors sell online both through company‑branded and marketplace websites.
Responsibilities
Promote UGP’s core values; show up, work hard, be respectful and honest, strive for excellence, do what you say, and promote DEI
Convert quotes to leads and close sales
Communicate sales, store, and personnel information to your regional manager promptly
Adhere to the Digital Code of Conduct
Provide constructive feedback to drive change
Participate in weekly one‑on‑one meetings with the Regional Sales Manager and weekly L10 meetings with the RSM and other sales managers in your group
Assist in coverage when other UGP team members are unavailable (email, phone coverage, and possibly travel)
Ensure customers have the best experience and outcome possible
Engage with the local community and attend local events, including Downtown Association meetings, networking groups, and chamber of commerce meetings
Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person to determine their needs
Generate ideas for sales and marketing tools and relay them to the Regional Sales Manager
Work with the National Sales Manager and Head of Marketing to engage with customers and drive sales at events and local opportunities
Location Responsibilities
Oversee store opening and closing per the checklists and store hours
Deposit money to the bank for custom and retail per the deposit procedure
Interview, hire, train, direct, and evaluate Store Associates
Ensure the storefront is clean, organized, and welcoming; custom orders and retail products are easy to find and clearly marked
Maintain scheduled store hours and special events
Schedule Store Associate hours and handle call‑offs, no‑shows, and shift changes
Coordinate retail displays to ensure optimal sales (e.g., racks and cubbies full, stocked, organized)
Manage supervisory tasks including time‑card approvals, annual reviews, disciplinary actions, and time‑off requests of Store Associates
Actively manage store operations on major retail event days (home football weekends, graduation, large events/fairs)
Qualifications
Degree from a 4‑year college or university
Excellent writing and oral communication skills
Previous sales experience
Very strong typing speed and accuracy
Highly advanced organizational skills
Proficient with Gmail, cloud computing sites, and social media
Prior management experience preferred
