Business Development Manager

Sage Freight is currently seeking aBusiness Development Managerto join our growing sales team. Salary for this position is $75,000. The position also qualifies for an incentive bonus. The role will focus on outbound prospecting, identifying qualified shipping partners, and building early relationships with potential customers.
The ideal candidate is proactive, disciplined, and comfortable working in a high-activity sales environment. Strong communication skills, curiosity about customer operations, and the ability to stay organized while managing a pipeline are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting: Research target companies and initiate outreach through cold calls, emails, and other prospecting methods to identify potential opportunities.
Pipeline Development:Create and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities by managing early-stage sales conversations and scheduling meetings for the U.S. Sales team.
CRM Management:Maintain accurate records of all prospecting activity, contact information, and sales progress within the CRM system to ensure visibility and accountability.
Performance Metrics:Meet or exceed activity and pipeline targets, including outbound calls, emails, meaningful conversations, meetings generated, and overall contribution to sales pipeline growth.
Qualifications & Requirements

Two plus years of experience in outbound sales
Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time effectively
Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
