Job Summary
We are seeking a hands‑on Reliability Test Technician to support testing and validation activities for advanced robotic and electromechanical systems. This role will focus on executing reliability and environmental tests, documenting findings, supporting root cause investigations, and assisting engineering teams with system‑level and component‑level validation.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with mechanical, electrical, robotics, automotive, or electromechanical systems in a lab or manufacturing environment, along with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Contract (2 Months with Possible Extension or Contract‑to‑Hire)
Pay Rate:
$50–$65/hour
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Validation
Execute system‑level and component‑level reliability testing for electromechanical and robotic systems
Perform environmental, vibration, thermal, and mechanical stress testing
Operate and maintain test equipment including environmental chambers, vibration tables, and load frames
Collect, organize, and document test data and findings to support engineering analysis and root cause investigations
Assist with troubleshooting and validation of mechanical, electrical, and sensor‑related issues
Technical Support
Work with components such as sensors, actuators, electronics, cables, and structural assemblies
Support prototype builds, modifications, and test setup activities
Perform soldering, crimping, cable routing, and hardware assembly tasks
Utilize lab equipment including DAQ systems, measurement instruments, sensors, and common shop tools
Support engineering teams with design validation and continuous improvement efforts
Create and maintain detailed test procedures and reports for repeatability and traceability
Maintain organized lab and testing environments
Collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering and technical teams to improve test processes and product reliability
Support testing activities at external labs or field locations as required
Required Qualifications
5+ years of hands‑on technical experience in robotics, automotive, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or related industries
Experience with reliability, environmental, vibration, or mechanical testing
Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets
Hands‑on experience with soldering, crimping, wiring, and cable management
Familiarity with DAQ systems, sensors, instrumentation, and lab equipment
Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, Onshape, or similar platforms
Basic Linux experience for system setup, troubleshooting, or testing activities
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work in a hands‑on lab, warehouse, or testing environment
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting robotics or autonomous systems testing
Exposure to prototype development and electromechanical integration
Familiarity with 3D printing and fabrication tools
Experience supporting root cause analysis and corrective action activities
Experience working in fast‑paced R&D or advanced technology environments
Hands‑on lab and testing environment
Cross‑functional collaboration with engineering and technical teams
Combination of indoor lab testing and occasional field testing support
Fast‑paced development and prototype validation environment
