Position Summary:We are seeking a Reliability Test Technician to support the development, validation, and reliability testing of advanced autonomous robotic platforms. This role will be responsible for executing system and component-level testing, documenting findings, supporting root cause investigations, and ensuring the highest levels of product quality and performance.The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, robotics, automotive, or related technical environments and enjoy working in a fast-paced laboratory setting where testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement are key priorities.Key Responsibilities:Reliability Testing & Validation-• Execute reliability, validation, and performance testing on autonomous robotic systems and subsystems.• Conduct system-level and component-level testing involving electronics, sensors, actuators, structures, and integrated hardware.• Document detailed test procedures, results, observations, and recommendations to support engineering teams and future test repeatability.• Collaborate with engineers to identify failures, support root cause analysis, and validate corrective actions.• Provide ongoing feedback to improve product reliability, test methods, and technical specifications.Laboratory Operations & Technical Support-• Operate environmental test chambers, vibration tables, mechanical load frames, and other reliability testing equipment.• Utilize laboratory instrumentation, DAQ systems, sensors, and diagnostic tools to collect and analyze test data.• Perform soldering, crimping, cable fabrication, and cable management activities as required.• Support hardware setup, test fixture preparation, and equipment maintenance activities.• Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient laboratory environment.Field Testing Support-• Support testing activities at external laboratories, customer sites, and field test locations as required.• Assist with system installation, integration, troubleshooting, and data collection during field operations.• Ensure testing activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.Technical Documentation & Collaboration• Interpret engineering schematics, wiring diagrams, technical drawings, and datasheets.• Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to communicate test findings and project updates.• Maintain accurate records of testing activities, equipment usage, and system performance metrics.• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on product reliability and testing efficiency.Qualifications:• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in robotics, automotive, electrical, mechanical, computer systems, or related industries.• Strong ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.• Experience operating environmental chambers, vibration testing equipment, and mechanical load frames.• Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, wiring, cable management, and hardware assembly.• Familiarity with DAQ systems, laboratory instrumentation, sensors, and diagnostic equipment.• Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, On shape, or similar platforms.• Working knowledge of Linux operating systems for testing, integration, and troubleshooting.• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in laboratory, warehouse, and field environments.• Willingness to work on-site and travel locally as needed to support testing activities.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience supporting autonomous systems, robotics, automation, or advanced hardware products.• Background in reliability engineering, product validation, verification testing, or quality assurance.• Experience working in fast-paced product development and engineering environments.Compunnel Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace.
