Position Overview
John Bouchard & Sons Co. (JBS) – a fifth‑generation, family‑owned company with a trusted reputation for excellence – is seeking an experienced B2B marketing professional for a long‑term role with end‑to‑end responsibility in a diversified and growing organization. This will be a new full‑time role within JBS and we are looking for the right individual to help solidify the function of marketing and communications within our growing organization. The position is for someone who has the drive and vision to help build the marketing function for lasting impact, not someone just looking for their next short‑term career step. We need a hands‑on marketer eager to learn our businesses and markets in order to grow the role and JBS marketing results – a “leader/doer.” The individual will own day‑to‑day execution across branding, marketing, and communications; maintaining a consistent JBS brand while supporting sustained lead generation across diverse business lines in construction, industrial services, and infrastructure.
While execution and organization will be the initial focus as the individual acclimates to the organization, the role is expected to develop a strong understanding of JBS’s operations, customers, and markets so they will be well equipped to translate that knowledge into increasingly strategic contributions and measurable outcomes. These responsibilities are currently handled by an internal manager who will work closely with the new hire to transfer knowledge of JBS’s businesses, markets, and current marketing activities, enabling the role to take on greater ownership and impact over time.
Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership & Execution
Own and manage day‑to‑day marketing execution across branding, marketing, and communications for multiple business units.
Create, update, and maintain both print and digital marketing collateral including web content, video content, brochures, catalogs, apparel, and tradeshow displays.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather technical/operational details and translate them into compelling written, visual, and video content. Periodic jobsite visits may be necessary.
Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with strong organization, prioritization, and follow‑through.
Lead Generation & Digital Marketing
Execute lead generation efforts across key business lines using website content, SEO, and technical updates.
Email campaigns and newsletters.
LinkedIn, YouTube, and other professional platforms.
Print and digital one‑pagers, brochures, and catalogs.
Manage and direct third‑party online marketing services subcontractor (Thomas Net).
Track leads, analytics, and marketing performance, developing ROI structures to inform improvement.
Brand Stewardship
Coordinate consistent, professional application of JBS branding across all print, digital, and video communications within the company.
Maintain organized marketing assets, templates, documentation, and brand standards.
Continuously improve the clarity, consistency, and authenticity of JBS’s external image.
Recruiting, Events & Internal Communications
Support recruiting and retention through marketing and communications content.
Produce A/V content for internal communications and employee events.
Strategic Growth & Leadership (Over Time)
Develop a deep understanding of JBS’s businesses, markets, customer profiles, and marketing funnels.
Provide input on marketing priorities, resource allocation, and budget planning.
Develop campaign concepts aligned with business and operational objectives.
Lead internal and external contributors on major initiatives, including the development of an online castings catalog and a future comprehensive website upgrade.
Stay current on evolving marketing tools and trends to strengthen JBS’s communications capabilities.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in B2B marketing required.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or other applicable field.
Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Ability to work on‑site at JBS HQ and occasionally travel to construction and manufacturing jobsites within the Mid‑South.
Valid Operator’s Driver’s License and acceptable MVR required.
Drug testing/screening, background checks, and reference checks will be performed.
Preferred Skills
Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure related fields.
Comfort translating technical services into clear, customer focused messaging.
Experience using marketing automation and CRM platforms to support lead tracking, segmentation and campaign execution.
Ability to analyze digital performance data and use insights to improve campaigns, content and lead generation outcomes.
A continuous improvement and long‑term ownership mindset.
Graphic design, photography, videography and video editing skills.
Familiarity with paid digital channels and working with internal and external partners to support lead generation.
Understanding of website and landing page best practices to support conversion and lead capture.
