Job Description
The TEE Video Production Specialist, reporting to the TEE Instructional Production Specialist, supports Marketing & Public Relations, Graduate & Executive Education, and other college efforts by creating high‑quality video content. This role involves working directly with MPR and GEE to produce live and recorded videos, design engaging motion graphics, edit, pre‑production, and collaborate with both teams to maintain consistency and high quality in all visual media while adhering to college and university branding standards. The specialist works with faculty, program directors, and university stakeholders to develop promotional, educational, and informational video content aligned with brand guidelines, while strategizing with MPR and GEE on messaging to engage target audiences.
Responsibilities
Produce promotional and other videos for the college by writing scripts, developing storyboards, directing, filming, editing, captioning, color correcting, and delivering high‑quality, polished video products, including high‑visibility projects that amplify the voice of the college to a global audience.
Work independently on development strategy, implementation, planning, execution, and delivery of medium‑to‑large sized video and multimedia projects, meeting deadlines, uploading completed projects to various platforms, and archiving projects according to TEE storage protocols.
Train and coach video talent, especially those with limited on‑camera experience, to deliver professional takes and coach MPR and GEE on best practices for video content.
Strategize with MPR and GEE to craft video products from inception through delivery, including post‑delivery data analysis to best engage target audiences and align with college strategic goals.
Produce video content for multiple platforms: social media, YouTube, podcast platforms, internal services, and others.
Operate cameras, teleprompters, lighting, microphones, and other equipment; edit video using current software such as Adobe Premiere and Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve.
Develop visual tone of video and on‑screen graphics for live and recorded events as needed.
Provide video and photography coverage for college meetings, events, workshops, and programs as needed.
Travel to produce content for the college as required.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve problems as they arise.
Assist on video shoots covering initiatives outside MPR or GEE needs, including filming, lighting, gear handling, setup, tear‑down, audio, editing, and other production responsibilities.
Work with the TEE team to improve video production processes, hybrid offerings, online teaching, virtual reality, AI efforts, and other technologies.
Utilize other TEE video producers for MPR and GEE‑focused projects as they align with job duties.
Maintain organization and setup of equipment, equipment room, studio, and inventory to ensure readiness for recording and streaming.
Configure, troubleshoot, modify, and repair audio‑visual equipment for live and recorded sessions.
Maintain a list of gear needs, updating as items require.
Perform other job‑related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Five years of expertise in video production.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Media, Video Production, Film, or a closely related discipline.
Three years’ experience in video production in higher education or marketing settings.
Legal authorization to work in the United States full‑time without sponsorship.
Location
Knoxville Campus – onsite.
