Job Summary

ThePatient Account Analystprocesses payments tofacilitateeven cash flow for the organization.

Responsibilities And Scope

Promptly and accuratelyprocessespayments tofacilitateeven cash flow for the organization.

Reviews all accounts on the assignedportionofAccounts Receivablevia the Aged Trial Balance and batches.

Appropriately posts or refunds accounts to bring accounts to azero-balancestatus.

Resolves minor problems, answers questions, and uses good judgment toinsurethat patient care is not compromised.

Proactively responds to problemsrelativeto system procedure errors,i.e.coding, registration, charging, posting, authorization issues.

Reviews and analyzes daily/weekly monthly reports to ensuretimelyfiling.

Audits payments, allowances, rejected claims toidentifyand resolve claims/EOP/EOB revenue cycle issues.

Qualifications

Required

Associate'sdegree orequivalentcombination of education and experience.

Experience working in a healthcare or finance/accounting office.
Proficient written and verbal communication.

Preferred

Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding.

Experience working in or with an Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system such as EPIC.

Experience and/or education/training in medical terminology.
