Position Purpose
The post-bacc intern will offer teaching and tech support for Music Department events, labs and courses.
Responsibilities
[30%]
Act as Teaching Assistant for MUS classes
Assist faculty in preparing teaching materials.
Set up classrooms and studios for class sessions.
Attend all classroom sessions.
Meet regularly with instructors to discuss studio issues.
Track and record student attendance.
Respond promptly to student inquiries regarding assignments and materials.

Monitor MUS studios during student studio hours
Warehouse
Clean common desks and tables; return seating to standardized positions; return all external gear to gear closet after each event.
Guide users through functionality of the space, including use of the mixing desk, lighting, and software control.
Help design usage protocols, print space instructions, and think through usage functionality.
Help manage the studio calendar.
Help with special events in the space.
Report any technical or usage issues to Prof. Ash Fure.
Bregman and Brittrax Studios
Assist Technical Director Bethany Younge in studio upkeep as needed.

Assist in live music department events as requested by department.
Demonstrate professionalism and collegiality through actions, interactions, and communications appropriate to an environment that is welcoming to all.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College with major or minor in Music.
Knowledge of the Music Department studios and program.
Ability to be flexible and learn new skills.
Strong time management skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills, in both Macintosh and Windows formats.
Ability to work well with a diverse staff, faculty, and student body.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Commitment to diversity and to serving the needs of a diverse community.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with music software and hardware (Ableton Live, Protools, Reaper, Max, Mixing Desks).
Live music event experience.
Recording studio experience.
Tutoring or teaching experience.
