Compensation
For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $68,000 – $102,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive. The compensation range for this full‑time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Schneider’s Field Service Representatives collaborate with customers, team members, and third‑party partners to perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on company and third‑party equipment. Job Details
This site‑based position has a 40‑hour guarantee plus overtime and may involve occasional nonstandard hours. Most work occurs at customer sites.
Typical Responsibilities
Pre‑site, startup, repair, preventive maintenance, and field modification of equipment
Problem solving with customers, electricians, sales partners, technical support, and district service teams
Completion of field service reports, expense reports, preventive maintenance data sheets, and startup data sheets
Working with a manager and/or regional service director to resolve complex escalated issues
Continuous learning and training on various products both in the field and in the classroom
Additional Responsibilities
Travel throughout the region for local customer support or even countrywide travel, including overnight travel by vehicle or air
Assist senior technicians and support project management on larger system start‑ups
Work alongside larger teams of FSRs and collaborate with project managers on higher complexity projects
Act on behalf of the district service manager to resolve operational issues as required
Qualifications
An associate’s degree, trade/vocational certification, or military training or similar experience in electrical‑related disciplines
The ability to read blueprints and schematics
Thorough understanding of principles of AC and DC power and related components
At least 2 years of field service repair and customer service with UPS systems, power distribution and switchgear, seamless automatic transfer switches, power distribution units, and related equipment
At least 2 years in field services or equivalent industry experience
Good safety practices and adherence to company safety procedures, including lock‑out tag‑out, compliance with safety programs, and completion of safety training on time
Identification of hazards and reporting of safety matters, incidents, near misses to management or safety representative
NFPA‑70E or OSHA experience preferred
Safe driving and vehicle operation skills
Skilled at utilizing test and diagnostic equipment
Experience reading and interpreting schematics, drawings, and operation manuals
Ability to write service reports, correspondence, and procedures, effectively present information, and respond to customer questions
Physical ability to handle strenuous tasks, including bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying items up to 40 pounds
Ability to work outdoors in diverse environmental extremes such as heat, cold, rain, and dust
Standing for extended periods and working in small confined spaces
Proficiency in English for communication with customers and team members
Proficiency in basic computer skills and systems including Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and ability to navigate company digital tools and resources
Onboarding and Training
Within the first 180 days, you’ll experience a team‑oriented welcome with 8 weeks of in‑person training in our state‑of‑the‑art facility in Dallas, TX, with all expenses paid. After each training visit you’ll continue with online training and receive on‑the‑job training paired with a local mentor to continue your onboarding journey.
