Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
• Executes engineering for design and development of technologies, components, systems, and products for generator control switchgear human machine interface (HMI) applications.

Typical task breakdown:
• Designs, modifies, develops, writes, converts and implements software-programming for generator control switchgear human machine interface applications.
• Configures, programs and tests HMI hardware.
• Work with Power System Engineers to validate/correct HMI programming
• Supports HMI issues in the field and provides remote HMI installation support
Interaction with team:
• Works hand in hand with the HMI team under the supervision of the AES HMI manager.
• Collaborates extensively with the Power System Engineering team to test and validate HMI software development.
Work environment:
• Office Lab and Manufacturing Floorspace
• 80% office / 20% shop floor
• PPE gear will be needed – glasses, safety boots ( can be carbon)
