A Day in the Life
While this is a remote position, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy are essential for this role.

Cardiac Ablation Solutions offers cardiac mapping and ablation solutions to treat patients with abnormal heart rhythms. Our vision is to help patients worldwide by advancing innovation for the diagnosis and ablation of cardiac arrhythmias, enabling clinicians to perform procedures with superior outcomes.

We are seeking a committed professional to lead the Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) sales team to achieve market growth, penetration, and development objectives. The role requires aligning with the CRHF and CVG sales teams and executing plans to fully leverage the CAS business. Accountable for revenue, implant goals, new product launches, and customer expansion in an assigned region.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement the CAS sales strategy; provide strategic leadership for the sales force and align with Cardiology sales management.

Lead the team to achieve market development and penetration in key patient populations.

Utilize field visits, individual or group meetings, and telephone contacts to train, coach, and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals.

Communicate corporate and regional mission, goals, and activities.

Direct and motivate personnel to achieve unit, revenue, and implant goals.

Provide ongoing feedback/coaching and schedule performance reviews; implement corrective actions when necessary.

Assist employees with Individual Development Plans (IDPs).

Develop and implement strategies to achieve short‑term and long‑term business objectives.

Manage sales area assets, including implementation and adoption of Salesforce.com.

Develop and manage budgets and forecasts; ensure efficient use of inventory and expenses.

Negotiate and resolve pricing and contract issues with reps, accounts, regional management, and home office personnel.

Develop ethical, long‑term customer relationships and act as a representative of Medtronic management to customers.

Recruit and interview candidates to maintain a strong personnel bench; hire top candidates and meet diversity goals.

Coordinate efforts with sales reps and managers of other product lines to maximize overall Medtronic team results; provide marketing intelligence feedback to sales and marketing management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years of experience in medical sales or marketing

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

BA/BS in life sciences, business, a technical discipline, or a related area.

Previous sales‑management experience or experience with market development businesses.

Experience with pacing products and knowledge of the pacing customer base.

Experience with clinical diagnostic and monitoring devices.

Experience with sales and personnel management functions.

Additional experience in marketing, training, technical services, or related areas.

ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for 8 hours a day.

Must be able to drive approximately 25‑50% of the time within the assigned territory and may require overnight travel.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
