The Music Director plays a key role in shaping the worship experience at The Crossing, helping bring each weekend and ministry gathering to life through preparation, musical excellence, and intentional execution. This role leads the musical environment, translating vision into cohesive, engaging, and spiritually meaningful worship sets. Working under the leadership of the Lead Worship Arts Pastor, the Music Director owns the preparation, rehearsal, and execution of the musical elements of each service, ensuring alignment with the overall creative and pastoral direction. This role brings consistency, clarity, and excellence to the worship experience across environments.
The Music Director also invests in and develops musicians and volunteers, helping build a healthy worship culture marked by excellence, humility, and servant leadership. This includes identifying and growing leaders and strengthening the overall team. This role is both creative and operational, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of music, systems, and ministry. In addition to weekend services, the Music Director supports key environments such as Celebrate Recovery and Young Adults.

It requires spiritual maturity, alignment with the church's beliefs, and a commitment to modeling biblical values through both leadership and creative expression. This position is perfect for an outgoing individual whom God has gifted with a heart for helping people connect with Jesus, strong leadership skills, and a desire to help others grow. They bring the ability to apply biblical values to current culture, an approachable and mature posture, and strong communication skills.
