Overview

The Operations Technician Sr. demonstrates technical expertise and analyzes data to solve technical or operational problems, ensuring facility equipment is maintained and pipeline operations are successful.
Responsibilities

Perform tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations, complying with technical standards and governmental requirements.
Carry out moderately to highly sophisticated technical assignments as prescribed by a leader, analyzing data to resolve issues.
Read and interpret drawings; draft operations and maintenance procedures.
Apply company policies and procedures and coordinate protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets.
Oversee site/location/equipment specific permits and compliance.
Complete assigned reports, logs, and maintain accurate records.
Execute other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum six (6) years of demonstrated ability as an Operations Technician for similar equipment or facilities.
Associate or 2‑year technical degree preferred.
Minimum six (6) years of multifaceted operations technician experience within a natural gas processing or compression facility preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, PC skills, and advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; safety as a priority.
Aptitude to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency.
Physical & Environmental Requirements

Willing to work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
Capable of carrying or lifting items up to 50 lbs and team‑lifting loads over 50 lbs as needed.
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods.
Experience working at elevated levels, such as from man‑lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or small towers, with appropriate PPE.
Other Requirements

Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Availability for after‑hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays.
