Senior Designer – Workday

Target is looking for a Senior Designer to lead the Owned Brand Product Design and Development for Cat & Jack Girls’ Knit Apparel. This role involves collaborating with merchants, sourcing partners, and design teams to drive brand cohesion while meeting line plans, assortment strategies, and price points.
Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of knit apparel, ensuring clear communication of product direction regarding materials, trims, and construction.
Maintain workload management and timely communication with internal and external partners.
Conduct trend research through global market trips to forecast industry trends for various categories and brands.
Mentor Associate Designers and foster collaboration across the team.
Present concept development, color palettes, fabrics, and artwork that support the overall category vision.
Collaborate with Technical Designers and sourcing partners to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve product issues.
Qualifications

Four-year degree in Design, Fine Arts, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 years of product design and development experience.
Proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop.
Advanced understanding of textiles, garment construction, and raw material production.
Commercial sense and ability to apply market and trend data.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and ability to present complex design intent.
Knowledge of product development processes.
