SUMMARY

The Vice President of Sales - Target is responsible for the Kids2 business at Target. They will deliver specific business results for Target including sales & profit within allocated spend budget. They will be accountable for sales team management, growth, and development and cross functional leadership. In addition to the near‑term delivery, they will support a three‑year plan for growth and resource management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build execution roadmap on a three‑year horizon for sales
  • Deliver annual business targets – Net Sales, Earnings and Share
  • Accountable for talent management and development of team
  • Lead teams in preparing and developing customer plans and budgets
  • Directly build and maintain customer relationships to increase sales
  • Partner with analytics/ops to ensure accurate forecasting
  • Attend & lead key retailer meetings as needed
  • Maintain an effective knowledge of external market factors, in partnership with Insights
  • Provide critical customer input on Kids2 go‑to‑market plans and activity sets

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong understanding of the sales process and the impact of other functions on the sales process, and ability to translate these practices into go‑to‑market strategies
  • Demonstrated experience with Target – has an understanding of the customer and experience working directly with Target
  • In‑depth understanding of eCommerce market and necessary capabilities to grow within that channel of business
  • Experience leveraging insights and category management to drive business results
  • People management, with the demonstrated ability to hire the best people and motivate and grow high‑performance teams + “team first” collaborative approach to leadership
  • 15+ years leadership experience in consumer products, with a minimum of 5 years in senior management capacity
  • Proven leadership in Marketing, Operations, and business development within US
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results through others in an innovative and changing environment

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 15+ years leadership experience in consumer products, with at least 2+ years in management capacity and direct reports
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four‑year college or university or equivalent work experience (MBA preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High levels of personal integrity, clarity, and honesty

COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS

Must be proficient with MS Office related products.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • General office environment, onsite 3 days a week and 1 full week once a month
  • Expected up to 25% travel (both national and international)
