We are actively seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for one of our clients in Michigan. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in industrial automation, controls systems, and manufacturing process support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and troubleshoot control systems for manufacturing equipment
• Perform PLC programming, HMI development, and system integration activities
• Support automation projects, commissioning, and process improvements
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and controls-related issues on production equipment
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Maintenance, and Production
• Support equipment upgrades, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills:
• Strong experience with PLC Programming – Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Rockwell
• Hands-on experience with HMI and SCADA systems
• Knowledge of VFDs, sensors, servo motors, and industrial networks
• Experience in electrical controls, panel troubleshooting, and automation systems
• Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial environments
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of Controls Engineering experience preferred
• Experience in automation and manufacturing environments is highly preferred
