Associate Designer

Overview

TravisMathew is a premium apparel brand that bridges performance and lifestyle. The Associate Designer is responsible for assisting Designers across menswear categories and supporting merchandising functions.
Responsibilities

Design seasonal menswear product within, but not limited to, accessories category.
Own the creation and maintenance of tech packs, mill sheets, artwork pages, trim pages, merch boards, and more.
Collaborate with and assist designers by creating/updating tech packs, mill sheets, artwork pages, trim pages, merch boards, and more for categories outside accessories.
Occasional SMU designs for Sales, Marketing, Exec, and Design.
Organize and maintain fabric, trim, and material libraries.
Research, interpret, and apply market trends appropriate to the brand.
Color CADs across various categories and assist in color theory/exploration.
Be flexible and open-minded in designing the best product for the brand and customer.
Problem solve design/category issues as they arise.
Basic understanding of Photoshop and Illustrator; CAD work is a must.
Prepare presentation materials for internal line reviews, sales meetings, go-to-market, and marketing alignment.
Assist in preparing line sheets, sample boards, and digital assets for seasonal reviews.
Prepare sales reports as meeting and review assets.
Collaborate with merchandising and planning teams to organize product rankings, SKU lists, and seasonal assortments.
Participate in product reviews to gain exposure to performance, fit, and consumer feedback processes.
Technical Competencies

Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Additional Adobe Suite is a plus
Familiarity with PowerPoint and building presentations
AI product generation skills are a plus
Comfortable working with Excel and Google Sheets for line planning and tracking
Communication proficiency
Project management / multi-tasking
Teamwork orientation
Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Design or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
Minimum 1 year of experience in apparel design.
Salary range: 25.29 - 31.61 - 37.93 USD hourly.
