Job Summary
Responsible for developing, servicing and maintaining a base of local clients and/or agencies who purchase advertising space or other media services to achieve established annual sales goals within assigned sales team. Offers zone buying to allow small advertisers the opportunity to reach only the customers in their retail trading areas. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge. This is a medium‑budget role.
Core Responsibilities
Analyze, develop and present market research and advertising proposals to support client activities and products.
Assist in developing marketing activities to generate local ad sales revenue.
Interact with various internal departments to carry out client requirements such as scheduling advertising.
Monitor account activities and manage collections.
Maintain up‑to‑date customer and prospect records and participate in development of sales forecasts.
Complete required documentation and reporting for the proper processing of contracts, advertising schedules, sales calls, and expense reports.
Seek new customers by continuously prospecting following company‑planned sales strategies and tactics.
Analyze confidential information, prepare reports, manuals, agendas and general correspondence.
Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Ensure regular, consistent and punctual attendance; be able to work nights, weekends and variable overtime as necessary.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills: Advertising, Communication, Marketing, Sales, Sales Calls.
Education: High School Diploma / GED.
Experience: 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
Compensation
Base pay range: $38,000–$39,000 per year. Target commission: $50,031. Additional total rewards and benefits will be provided according to Comcast’s compensation and benefits summary. Also note: primary location pay range mentioned: $60,362.26–$90,543.39 and targeted commission $50,031.00.
