What You’ll Be Doing
Engage with team members in span of care to ensure they receive appropriate onboarding, training, and development.
Provide coaching and feedback to help team members succeed.
Identify talent and engage in career discussions to support store staffing and build a diversified talent pipeline.
Hold candid conversations to ensure Meijer standards are upheld and team members have growth opportunities.
Oversee area operations and financial results, managing corporate plans to maximize sales and productivity.
Own budget line items in the P&L.
Drive safety and compliance throughout the store and oversee condition management.
Ensure Team Leaders and Leads provide guidance, assign daily work, and address training needs.
Implement process improvements and steward the Meijer culture.
What You Bring With You (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4+ years of retail or grocery customer service experience.
Progressive leadership experience preferred.
Passion for providing industry-leading service.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and provide precise direction.
Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
Experience leading a safety-focused organization.
Proactive and creative thinking applied to business.
Understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and drive sales.
Strong business acumen and innovative attitude.
Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all team members and vendors feel valued.
