Meijer is seeking a Customer Service Department Manager to lead, inspire, and drive operational excellence at our Harrison Rd location in Cincinnati, OH.
Responsibilities
Engage team members in span of care to ensure they receive appropriate onboarding, training, coaching, and feedback to be successful in all they do.
Identify talent and engage in career discussions to support overall store staffing and ensure a diversified talent pipeline strategy for team member and leadership roles.
Conduct candid discussions with team members to uphold Meijer standards and provide opportunities for growth within the organization.
Account for area operations and financial results by overseeing the execution of corporate plans, ensuring services and products are effectively managed to maximize sales and productivity, and owning budget line items in the P&L.
Drive safety and compliance throughout the store, manage overall condition, and follow all compliance procedures.
Ensure Team Leaders and Leads provide guidance, assign daily work assignments, and address any training needs.
Direct Leads and Team Leaders while being ultimately accountable for area operations, financials (shrink, productivity, safety, scheduling & forecasting staffing needs), and conflict resolution between team members and customers.
Identify and implement process improvements and serve as a steward of Meijer culture.
Maintain performance management, coaching, succession planning, and recognition programs for team members.
Work to ensure all services and products are effectively managed to maximize sales and productivity.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
Progressive leadership experience preferred.
A passion to provide industry-leading service.
Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members, providing clear and precise direction.
Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions.
Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
Proactive/creative thinking applied to business improvement.
Thorough understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs and gain sales and market share.
Strong business acumen.
Innovative attitude to help Meijer set industry standards.
