Location and Schedule

About the Position
The Paid Search Manager will play a pivotal role in driving customer acquisition efforts on Investopedia’s Performance Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Google and Microsoft platforms and a strategic mindset, allowing them to deliver flawless campaign execution, actionable reporting, and the thought leadership necessary to maximize our marketing impact.

Responsibilities

Own the strategy, execution, and ongoing optimization of paid search campaigns (Google Ads), managing performance against acquisition revenue and P&L goals.

Conduct full-funnel analysis - from impression through account open - to identify performance drivers and optimization opportunities.

Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance; translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve efficiency and scale.

Independently manage budgets, bidding strategies, keyword expansion, and testing roadmaps to maximize ROI.

Partner with analytics and data teams to ensure accurate measurement and leverage data from multiple sources for deeper insights.

Continuously A/B test and iterate on ad creative, landing pages, and targeting strategies to improve conversion rates and overall performance.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor degree, or equivalent work experience.

Experience: 3-5+ years of digital marketing, with a heavy focus on paid media execution and managing or supporting significant monthly media spends ($200,000+), while maintaining strict profitability targets.

Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities

Deep experience with Google Ads; strong understanding of campaign structure, bidding strategies, and performance optimization.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate full-funnel performance and connect campaign metrics to business outcomes and P&L impact.

Experience with data platforms such as BigQuery, Looker, or similar BI tools and experience synthesizing data from multiple sources preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis) preferred.

Self‑starter with a high degree of ownership; proactively identifies opportunities, investigates performance trends, and drives solutions independently.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear insights and actionable strategies.

Travel
5% approximate travel required.

Pay Range
New York: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00
