The Relationship Manager (RM) position is responsible for the equity compensation relationship within the Wealth Management Client Segments division. They partner with a client's key administrative contacts (Directors and Managers of Stock Plan Administration teams). The RM must possess a strong working knowledge of equity compensation and relationship management, and is responsible for the overall satisfaction of the client, ensuring that the plan utilizes the various components of our offering to enhance the participant experience.
Service delivery within the corporate client expands beyond the primary administrative contacts to include individuals within human resources, benefits, compensation, and finance departments. A successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, proven problem‑solving skills, a strong knowledge of equity compensation and stock plans, and a focus on the challenges that face today's administrators.
Primary Responsibilities May Include:

Collaboration with other teams to ensure all clients receive timely responses
Delivering regular business reviews to share thought leadership, relevant enhancements, and detailed plan‑level analytics
Regular contact with clients to maintain a high level of personal interaction
Monitoring client satisfaction through internal benchmarks, surveys, and RM check‑ins
Promoting and sharing efficiencies and best practices to improve service and execution
Aligning client requests and expectations with business needs and constraints while maintaining a positive relationship with client contacts
Coordinating new projects with clients and internal teams
Engaging with various Morgan Stanley service support organizations to ensure strong execution of service delivery
Communicating with internal business partners regarding plan events and key issues impacting the client
Attending industry webcasts and Morgan Stanley‑promoted education forums, sharing relevant information with clients and colleagues
Collaborating with colleagues professionally and respectfully
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required with 2–5 years of industry experience
Strong understanding of the executive compensation and stock plan industries
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Some travel will be required
Organizational skills to track and maintain multiple projects
Ability to work under periods of extreme pressure with very tight time constraints
Demonstrated ability to build a clear case for complex or difficult decisions and effectively present recommendations to management
Ability to identify issues and clearly articulate concerns, both verbally and in writing, to drive resolution with internal and external stakeholders
Comfortable running meetings and speaking to large groups
Certified Equity Professional designation
Appropriate securities licenses required (FINRA Series 7, and 63 or 66) or willingness to be obtained within 180 days of hire
Strong working knowledge of MS office products

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
