Commercial Account Executive

What you will do

The Commercial Sales Account Executive is responsible for promoting and selling Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory, leveraging relationships, and closing new business. The role serves as the Johnson Controls Security brand steward, telling the story and demonstrating that Johnson Controls Security is a leading electronic security provider. Responsibilities include securing profitable sales and upgrades to both new and existing Johnson Controls Security commercial customers, maximizing customer satisfaction and retention through post‑installation follow‑ups, and maintaining comprehensive product knowledge.
How you will do it

Adhere to Johnson Controls Security policies, procedures, products, and services; create new market share by selling products and services to new local commercial customers; sell additional products and services to existing accounts; renew existing customer agreements; identify prospects using lead‑generating techniques; establish call plans and follow‑up strategies; maintain in‑depth knowledge of the product line; obtain referrals and work with centers of influence; process work orders and complete paperwork; conduct post‑installation follow‑up to confirm customer satisfaction.
What we look for

High school degree or equivalent (college degree preferred).
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to present to senior‑level executives.
Minimum of 2 years’s experience as a successful commercial sales representative in security, IT, or related technology sales industry, consistently meeting and exceeding quota.
Full‑time availability and willing to travel locally.
Salary: $55,800-$83,000. This position includes a competitive benefits package. This role also offers a competitive Sales Incentive Plan that considers project, quarterly, and annual margin.
