ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

Growing apparel company in the children’s market is seeking an Associate Designer to support the design and development team. This role is ideal for someone creative, organized, and experienced in children’s apparel who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment from concept through production.
The company develops fashion-forward children’s apparel for a wide range of retail partners across both domestic and international markets. Product categories include newborn, toddler, boys, and girls collections.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with the design and development of children’s apparel collections
Prepare detailed tech packs including garment construction details, measurements, trims, artwork, and specifications
Communicate daily with overseas factories and vendors regarding development and production updates
Create prints, graphics, and colorways using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Review samples and support fit/spec corrections as needed
Maintain organization of development materials and timelines
Work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely execution of product lines
Qualifications

2–3 years of experience in children’s apparel design or product development
Experience across boys, girls, infant, or layette categories preferred
Knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, grading, and fit
Strong understanding of current fashion trends within the children’s market
Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting
Experience with juniors or young men’s categories is a plus
Compensation: $65,000–$90,000 based on experience.
