Program Coordinator – Maternal and Child Health Initiatives (MCHI)

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago provides superior pediatric care and is the largest pediatric provider in the region. The Program Coordinator will join the MCHI team and support the expansion of current programming focused on prenatal and parenting families with children under age three.
Responsibilities

Participate in internal and external meetings and community events to promote MCHI program services.
Conduct family intake assessments and coordinate resource navigation for families and healthcare staff.
Serve as a resource navigator, coordinate the Connect Home Visiting Chicago (CHVC) program, and support new programmatic initiatives.
Build and strengthen partnerships with healthcare organizations and community partners across the state, focusing on Chicago’s West Side and South Side neighborhoods.
Coordinate planning, implementation, and evaluation of community health and engagement initiatives, programs and events.
Manage program logistics, track expenditures, facilitate meetings and maintain project documentation.
Prepare status reports on project progress, outcomes and impact.
Assist with grant and philanthropic applications, reporting to funders, and fundraising efforts.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, booking, preparing meeting supplies, and compiling key takeaways.
Assist in the development and implementation of communications, marketing, and social media efforts for specific initiatives.
Support program evaluation through data collection, participant feedback, and monitoring outputs and outcomes.
Facilitate connections between Lurie Children’s healthcare providers and community partners.
Engage Lurie Children’s leaders, employees, physicians, and trainees in community health efforts.
Facilitate trainings and provide support for program assistants, students, interns and volunteers.
Attend and contribute to regular check‑ins with leadership, managers, staff and collaborators.
Qualifications

Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in community health programming, engagement, education, healthcare/public health, administration, or related field.
Strong project coordination experience and organizational skills required.
Ability to work evenings, weekends and travel throughout Chicago.
Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem‑solving, organizational and time‑management skills.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365; experience with database management and survey software preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, take initiative and work independently.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range: $59,280.00 – $96,928.00.
