About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement to play a pivotal role in the organization's growth and impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic fundraising priorities that align with the mission and goals of the organization. This includes fostering a culture of accountability, designing comprehensive annual development plans, and overseeing the execution of signature events. The role demands exceptional leadership, the ability to maintain a portfolio of major donors, and a proven track record in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts and corporate sponsorships. The Vice President of Advancement will also be a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, working in collaboration with the CEO to build a culture of philanthropy and engagement.

Applicants for the Vice President of Advancement position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years' diversified fundraising experience in a nonprofit environment. A deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape, particularly in the Los Angeles region, is essential. The role requires a candidate with a proven history of closing major gifts and corporate sponsorships, as well as experience in leading revenue-generating teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong network, excellent communication skills, and the ability to set and achieve challenging goals. Experience in integrating fundraising, marketing, and communications teams is also a key qualification. A CFRE credential is a plus, and proficiency in CRM databases, particularly Salesforce, is preferred.
