2nd Shift Production Supervisor

for a company in the Tyler area. The primary function of the

2nd Shift Production Supervisor

position is to direct and coordinate the production staff in processing materials or manufacturing of products in an industrial environment. The

2nd Shift Production Supervisor

will also work alongside the staff and perform the same tasks in a non-climate controlled environment. The pay rate for this position will be between

$22 - 26 / HR .

Responsibilities of the

2nd Shift Production Supervisor

will include:
Manage production personnel in the manufacturing of products.
Properly schedule production staff to meet the needs of the production schedule.
Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the production floor to ensure that safety and quality standards are met
Review daily efficiency reports to ensure that productivity standards are met. Suggest corrective action and steps to reach productivity goals if there is a shortfall.
Communicate effectively with the Plant Manager and other plant personnel regarding production status, employee well-being, etc.
Identify and recommend necessary items for improvement.
Motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, identifying the best people for the job or work assignment.
Qualifications to be considered for the

2nd Shift Production Supervisor

position include:

Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
Experience in operations and maintenance of production equipment.
Ability to use or learn current software applications, including MS Office as required.
Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
Ability to train for this position on 1st shift, then transfer to 2nd shift.
