Job Description:
Responsibilities
Execute sales and profitability goals for carbon black, clean blacks, master batch (UV / color / conductive) high performance products to targeted customers in accordance with the company’s operating plan.
Manage customer information and data and build excellent customer relations.
Coordinate with manufacturing and shipping personnel to ensure on time delivery of all sales orders.
Execute sales and profitability goals for all products in accordance with the company’s operating plan.
Identify Annual Operating Plan (AOP) volumes and profit margins for assigned accounts.
Monitor and target AOP commitments and plans.
Expand sales to meet or exceed AOP.
Prepare sales forecasts for customers and update monthly.
Obtain detailed knowledge of the marketplace and the key profit drivers for high performance products on a continuing basis.
Determine competitive vulnerabilities and position high performance products based on a market driven value added approach to focused target accounts.
Drive toll compounder to produce master batch products based on customer requirements.
Leverage CCC relationships with resin suppliers and master batch end users.
Develop customer contact practice and set schedule for contacting and interacting with customers.
Track status of customer call activity and use call reports as needed.
Monitor competitive activities and gather marketplace intelligence.
Establish standard practices for communicating sales order requirements to production and shipping personnel.
Monitor status of orders and shipments and communicate with both management and customers when delays are anticipated.
Communicate and coordinate with QA personnel to ensure customer requirements are met.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
More than 10 years sales and marketing experience in plastics and Business to Business sales.
Ability to interface well with all levels management and personnel to resolve issues.
Strong communications skills both oral and written and strong interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Outlook.
Intermediate level of expertise in Excel, including formulas, functions, and charting/graphing.
Ability to work in a team and a willingness to learn new skills.
