ElevationHR is partnering with a Fortune 500 Energy & Utilities organization seeking a Technical Writer II to support enterprise documentation, communications, and knowledge management initiatives.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys transforming complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content while collaborating across technical and business teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
- Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts to gather and validate information.
- Translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand content.
- Edit, proofread, and maintain documentation standards and consistency.
- Update documentation based on process improvements, system changes, and stakeholder feedback.
- Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and develop monthly communications
ewsletters. - Manage multiple documentation projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
- 2+ years of technical writing or documentation experience.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience creating process documentation, user guides, SOPs, or training materials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation tools.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Project management experience preferred.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
- Must be local to the Houston area.
- Must be able to work hybrid in Downtown Houston.
- No Corp-to-Corp arrangements.
- No relocation assistance available.
