Seeking Touring Production Stage Managers and Assistants
Big League Productions (BLP) seeks Production Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager submissions for the upcoming 2026/2027 national touring season. BLP touring productions include MYSTIC PIZZA: THE MUSICAL, A CHRISTMAS STORY, and LEGALLY BLONDE.

Responsibilities
These full‑time, touring positions will collaborate with the General Manager, Producer, and the Creative Team to support the day‑to‑day business, logistics, and operations of these tours.

Ensuring proper run‑of‑show protocols

Facilitating communication across all creative and technical departments

Distributing all show‑related daily reports and schedules

Assisting the Head Carpenter with advancing calls to upcoming venues

Calling all technical cues during performances and overseeing all backstage activity when in performance

Facilitating brush‑up and understudy rehearsals during the tour’s run (making sure that put‑ins are happening)

Assisting run‑of‑show backstage

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Strong team players with the ability to work well under pressure

Attention to detail

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous touring experience, while not mandatory, is preferred

A valid US driver's license is required

The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs, stand for extended periods of time (3+ hours), and navigate multiple levels of stairs

Timeline
All tours will play a mixture of one‑week engagements, split‑weeks, and one‑night performances. Mystic Pizza and Legally Blonde also have a few layoff weeks sprinkled throughout the itinerary.

MYSTIC PIZZA: A MUSICAL TIMELINE

Rehearsals Start: September 1, 2026 (NYC)

Tech/Previews: September 21‑27, 2026 (Elmira, NY)

National Tour: September 2026 – April 2027

Additional bookings possible.

A CHRISTMAS STORY TIMELINE

Rehearsals Start: October 20, 2026 (NYC)

Tech/Previews: November 9‑15, 2026 (Elmira, NY)

National Tour: November 2026 – December 2026

LEGALLY BLONDE TIMELINE

Rehearsals Start: December 11, 2026 (NYC)

Tech/Previews: January 11‑21, 2027 (Cerritos, CA)

National Tour: January 2027 – May 2027

Additional bookings possible.

Compensation
Manager positions start at $1,100 per week (increasing with experience).

Assistant positions start at $950 per week (increasing with experience).

Hotel and per diem provided on the road.

Submission Window
