We are a growing optometric doctor alliance based in The Woodlands, Texas with approximately 300 optometric practice members across 30+ states. Vision Trends was founded in 2006 by independent optometrists passionate about positioning independent optometry for long-term success. Today, we remain an independent business owned by independent optometrists, just like the optometric practices we serve.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
CANDIDATES MUST LIVE IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING STATES FOR CONSIDERATION: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin

The Sales Director for the Midwest United States will lead and drive the sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets within this key region. This role is pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure sustained business growth. The Sales Director will oversee the sales team, providing mentorship, setting clear objectives, and fostering a high-performance culture. They will analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new opportunities and tailor sales approaches accordingly. Ultimately, this position is responsible for expanding the company’s market presence and delivering measurable results that align with overall business goals.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of progressive sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.

Strong knowledge of the Midwest United States market and its business landscape.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Business Administration or related discipline.

Experience in the specific industry relevant to the company’s products or services.

Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Demonstrated ability to lead remote or geographically dispersed teams.

Existing network of contacts within the Midwest business community.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies tailored to the Midwest market to meet or exceed sales targets.

Lead, coach, and manage the regional sales team to optimize performance and professional development.

Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and adjust strategies proactively.

Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales initiatives with company objectives.

Prepare and present regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior leadership.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
