Lamar Advertising seeks a Sales Account Executive for its Duncansville, PA office to generate outdoor advertising sales for local businesses and brands in the Altoona area. The role requires building new client relationships, maintaining existing accounts, and achieving sales targets by leveraging professional sales techniques and company tools.
Responsibilities Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports
Target businesses in the assigned area and visit established Lamar clients as well as competitors’ clients within specified time frames
Track local and national competition and identify potential growth areas and new accounts
Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, prepare proposals, written presentations, and research
Develop presentation skills and effectively present to clients on a regular basis
Actively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows
Perform administrative duties, including maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans, following up on client production orders, problem‑solving issues, and keeping organized records of sales activity
Qualifications Comfortable making cold calls over the phone and in person
Skilled at oral presentations and clearly articulating policies and procedures
Inclusive communication with a diverse range of people
Motivated to learn new technology and system applications
Effective time management and self‑organization skills
Willingness to immerse yourself in outdoor advertising sales
Professional verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to perform under fluctuating workloads and maintain goal focus
A knack for building trust and making connections
Ability to meet a sales quota and apply general sales techniques
Intrinsic self‑motivation and resilience in response to rejection
Education and Experience Current and valid driver’s license required
College degree preferred
Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
CRM experience preferred

First‑year earning potential of $40,000 – $60,000 (including commissions)
