Overall Role
The incumbent will spend 100% of scheduled work time providing service delivery activities that include contractor training, development of educational materials, and the provision of technical assistance for the USDA Child Care Food Program administered by the Bureau of Child Care Food Programs (CCFP). This position reports to the Operations and Management Program Manager for the Training and Outreach Section of the CCFP and will be assigned to the state health office.
Your Specific Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance, consultation and guidance to staff and prospective program contractors via telephone and email.
Act as training coordinator for the Bureau; lead the development of the annual training plan and create training materials and modules for current and prospective program operators.
Assist with evaluating and approving or denying prospective and renewing contractor applications based on established standards and criteria.
Assist with the development of resources and training materials for state staff and program contractors; review and update current training materials to reflect policies and procedures.
Research state‑of‑the‑art training techniques (web‑based, live online meetings, video training, etc.) and evaluate their use, cost, and success rate; provide reports and recommendations.
Assist with arrangements for statewide meetings and staff training sessions; support outreach activities.
Make presentations representing the Florida Department of Health at state and national meetings as requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
In addition to the KSAs listed in the occupational profile for a Management Analyst, the incumbent should have:
Knowledge of federal and state Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations, rules, requirements and procedures; child nutrition; data analysis methods; and correct grammar usage.
Ability to interpret federal and state regulations; analyze processes, identify problems, propose solutions, implement corrective actions, and evaluate results; present findings effectively; organize data into logical format for reports and documents; plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate work; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships; and work independently.
Skill in use of personal computers and standard software packages.
Qualifications
Four years of professional experience in training, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, or program evaluation is preferred. Limited to medium travel is required. The incumbent will have regulatory responsibilities and must be familiar with Chapter 112, F.S., Chapter 60L‑36, F.A.C., and DOH Policy 30‑2‑07. The position may require access to records containing social security numbers, purchasing‑card responsibilities, and may involve emergency duty.
