Designer II plays a pivotal role in creating visually stunning 3D and 2D graphics for control projects submitted by our field offices. By leveraging expertise in digital tools, they help bring our projects to life. The Designer II reports to a Lead Digital Designer and may work within a dynamic subteam led by a Senior Digital Designer.
Location
On site Monday through Thursday. Friday work location is flexible.
What You Will Do
Produce designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.
Document parts and bills of materials.
Develop a good working knowledge of design and drafting standard practices, methods, and processes.
Work from oral engineering instructions or written procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches.
Lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments; exercise sound judgment in recognizing potential design problems and correct own errors.
Maintain competency level of computer‑aided graphic systems and other applications through company‑provided training and materials.
Be customer driven, innovative, and quality minded in performance of all assigned duties.
Exercise good communication skills.
Maintain awareness of and adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures.
May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel.
Receive generalized information and instruction pertaining to the assignment from engineers or senior staff; work direction, content, and accuracy reviewed by engineers or senior department members.
What You Will Bring
4+ years of experience using computer‑aided graphic solutions in lieu of a degree or associate’s degree (AA).
Experience with SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or Pro Engineer.
Proficiency in CAD and AutoCAD.
Compensation
Annual base salary range: $49,400.00 – $69,755.00. Compensation type: Exception hourly. Incentive eligible: No. Sales commission eligible: No.
