Job Goal
The Coordinator of State and Federal Programs oversees educational aspects of State and Federal programming (ESEA Title I, Title III, Title IV, MOWR) and facilitates the effective implementation, evaluation, compliance, and development of those programs. In addition, the coordinator develops and plans strategic intervention frameworks including Response to Intervention, and instructional programs for English Language Learners.
Qualifications
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate Required
Advanced Degree in Education or related field preferred
Proven record of accomplishment in planning and management, ideally in a K-12 academic setting
Proven track record of thinking big, managing multiple priorities and successful work experience leading innovative technology initiatives
Professional presence and service orientation
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must pass a background clearance.
Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

Performance Responsibilities
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
Supports the Strategic Plan of Queen Creek Unified School District
Develops, evaluates, and analyzes State and Federal projects (ESEA Title I, Title III, MOWR, Title IV) as related to student achievement
Provides assistance to principals and teachers in the areas of grant funded programs goal setting, budget monitoring, use of resources, data analysis, and academic improvement planning
Assists the Superintendency in planning the effective utilization of funds available to the schools through the various federal programs
Coordinates the development of projects to meet the needs of Title I, ELD, and homeless students
Develops and facilitates ongoing, differentiated professional development for ELD practitioners, general education teachers, administrators, and special service providers regarding best practices in English language development, scaffolded instruction, district initiatives, and assessment
Researches and coordinates the selection of ELD instructional materials. Oversees the process for adopting instructional materials. Assists in data collection and analysis to monitor ELD programming and student academic success during and after receiving ELD services
Consults with administrators, principals, teachers and staff to define instructional needs, effectiveness, productivity and resources
Plans with professional staff in the utilization of funds available to the schools through the various federal programs
Supports classroom teachers in evidence-based instructional strategies which support language learning in core content classes
Keeps abreast of and informs district administration of changes in rules and regulations of the Arizona State Board of Education and state and federal laws concerning areas of responsibility
Assists with compliance issues, amendments and training regarding grant funded programs law and procedures
Provides exceptional customer service to site administrators in related areas of school operation
Attends all federal and state program training institutes as needed or recommended
Participates in the annual budget development activities for state and federal programs
Performs other job-related duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
