The Hyatt Regency Dallas is looking for an experienced
Large Market
Group Sales Manager
to join our highly skilled and recognized Sales team. This position will focus on 251 Rooms on Peak for the South and Western Regions of the USA. Hyatt Regency Dallas is located downtown next to the iconic Reunion Tower. The ideal candidate will have previous hotel sales experience. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, conducting site inspections, soliciting and generating business, preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well‑organized documentation and reports, utilizing Hyatt systems and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate. The Sales Manager will also participate in, and may lead, event meetings, sales and other staff meetings, and work closely with the sales and events/catering staff, the Administrative Assistant, and other support staff. This position carries a performance quota.
Responsibilities
Target group accounts in the assigned geographic/vertical market and/or territory with an emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation
Work collaboratively with off‑property sales channels (Regional Sales Offices, Rep. Firms, etc.) to ensure sales efforts are well coordinated
Proactively identify, qualify, and solicit new business to achieve personal and sales revenue goals
Achieve room night and revenue monthly sales goals and individual business goals
Close the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs
Understand the overall market in which they sell (i.e., competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, etc.)
Effectively manage and develop relationships with key internal and external customers, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, site inspections, etc.
Effectively use sales resources and administrative/staff support
Generate contracts and creative proposals to meet customer needs
Provide accurate, complete, and effective turnover to conference services
Develop clear and effective RoadMaps/SMART plans
Possess effective communication skills
Present ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well‑organized manner
Continue communications with group contacts before, during, and after all meetings to encourage rebook of business or to solicit other business within the account
Entertain group contacts while on property and in the marketplace; sales managers may be required to entertain outside of normal office hours
Travel to assigned geographic market, assigned territory, or event location based on travel schedule
Represent Hyatt Regency Dallas at trade shows and all functions related to the sales and marketing efforts of the Hotel
Participate in one‑on‑one meetings with the Director of Sales & Marketing
Attend all meetings related to the group sales department
Maintain the highest ethical standards while representing Hyatt Regency Dallas

Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Minimum of 3–5 years of full service hotel sales
Successful experience with business development in hotels
Experience working with CVB teams and partner hotels
Experience working with complex sales agreements
Ability to sell a destination as well as a property
Training in selling, negotiating, business writing, and presentation skills
Experience working with highly experienced Global Sales Representatives
