Job Location: San Diego, CA92101. Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $125,000.00 – $135,000.00.
Position Summary

The Station Manager is responsible for the full spectrum of station operations, including aircraft line maintenance, administrative duties, GSE oversight, training, compliance, and customer contract management. These leadership roles are critical to ensuring safety, operational efficiency, and profitability at a 24/7 maintenance station.
Operations & Oversight

Manage day‑to‑day operations across all shifts with oversight of multiple mechanics in a 24/7 work environment.
Maintain compliance with FAA, OSHA, airport, and environmental regulations.
Ensure aircraft serviceability and support on‑time performance.
Lead and participate in aircraft line maintenance activities as needed.
Maintain GSC assets including vehicles, aircraft jacks, ground support equipment, and specialized tooling.
Oversee administrative tasks, facility upkeep, and payroll coordination.
Training & Compliance

Conduct or delegate technician training (OJT and procedural).
Monitor and maintain training records, compliance logs, and audit readiness.
Act as a compliance point of contact for customer audits and internal evaluations.
Customer & Contract Management

Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet all customer requirements.
Ensure accurate invoicing for tenant and contracted work orders.
Build and maintain customer relationships to promote operational confidence.
Asset & Tool Control

Track and ensure calibration of all tools.
Oversee company vehicle assignments and transfers.
Manage station assets and submit requisitions for replacements.

Customer satisfaction and invoicing accuracy
Systems & Tools

Familiarity with online aircraft maintenance documentation platforms.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other digital workflow tools.
Work Schedule

Typically a 5‑day fixed schedule (8‑hour shifts), but subject to change based on operational demand or emergencies.
Qualifications

Valid FAA A&P license.
5+ years of commercial aircraft line maintenance experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening, FBI background check, airport SIDA badge, and Customs Seal clearance.
Preferred Skills

Strong leadership and people management.
Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
Experience managing multi‑departmental functions.
High attention to detail in regulatory compliance and documentation.
Ability to work under pressure in high‑paced environments.
