Established in 1953, WLFI (News 18) is the premier television station serving the Lafayette-West Lafayette area - DMA Market 189. As a CBS affiliate, it provides comprehensive local news, weather, and sports coverage across West-Central Indiana.

Job Summary
WLFI is looking for a part-time Technical Media Producer / Master Control Operator. You will be hands‑on in our state-of-the-art control room, responsible for live and recorded local news content on air and streaming on our website daily. You will also manage and monitor our on-air signals and ingest daily programming, commercials and promos.

Responsibilities

Responsible for playout for CBS and CW feeds

Operate Ross Overdrive during live and recorded news segments as well as breaking news events

Assist the news team in creating graphics for newscasts

Assist in commercial production shoots

Assist in live event productions

Fill in on alternate shifts when needed

Qualifications

Flexible schedule (shifts include weekend days and evenings, and some holidays)

Live newscast/production work is a plus

Excellent communicator and problem solver

Experience with Ross Overdrive, ENPS, and Adobe Creative Suite

Calm and composed under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations

Detail-oriented and organizedOn-the-job training is provided
