Job purpose


Managing sample production orders and development for international vendor base.


Duties and responsibilities


The duties and responsibilities of the POSITION will include but are not limited to:


·       Prepares art separations for vendors. Anticipates workload and schedule accordingly

·       Evaluates art proofs and tech packs to troubleshoot and communicate artwork revisions

·       Monitors printed garments for sampling. Tracks samples and follows up

·       Creates Purchase Orders for sampling, verifies items setup and maintains files for development invoices

·       Gather, track and send fabric swatches, printed garments to vendors for color reference. Manages status through PLM system

·       Communicates sample requests to print vendors and manufacturers. Works with vendors to get quality samples in a timely manner.

·       Organize style binders and create WIPs for each program in development

·       Update sales team on status of samples and coordinate with factories to avoid delays

·       Track Samples and maintain timelines

·       Submit art to Licensing

·       Record samples, PP and TOP requirements and ship samples to appropriate partners

·       Monitor licensed art approval and works with CFT on approvals

·       Monitors sample approval with CFT and corrects any challenges

·       Evaluates lab dips, print swatches, embellishment layouts through development, PP and TOP to confirm for production

·       Works with CFT on fit evaluations

·       Submits comments to CFT on sample/development samples

·       Communicates sample approvals from sales to vendors and records in PLM

·       Creates swatch cards for design team

·       Maintains color standards for vendors and art department.

·       Organizes Fabric and Print libraries

·       Maintains sample racks and sample library


Qualifications


·       4 year college degree or equivalent work experience

·       Strong visual sense for color and design

·       Commitment to high quality standards

·       Excellent verbal and written communication

·       Ability to work in fast paced environment

·       Strong interpersonal skills

·       Highly organized with attention to detail

·       Basic knowledge of Mac based photoshop CS, Illustrator CS and Excel

·       Basic understanding of fabric, garment specs, printing and embellishment techniques

·       Knowledge of screen printing and separation process a plus

·       Bonus: Experience working in a PLM system

·       Bonus: Experience working with Technical measurements of garments

Physical requirements


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand and (for the majority of the time) will be sitting at their desk and working on the computer. The employee must occasionally lift/move 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
