Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking an Off‑shift Production Supervisor. The role is located at our Waukesha, WI site and will run approximately 7:00 pm–4:00 am. Relocation assistance will be provided. The expected annual salary is $86 000–$126 000; actual compensation depends on experience, qualifications and market factors.

What You’ll Do
The Production Supervisor will direct departmental activities and participate in cross‑functional teams to achieve safety, quality, on‑time delivery, inventory, productivity, and continuous‑improvement goals. The Supervisor will foster employee involvement and communication, lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, and apply lean/six sigma (MVP) projects.

In This Role You Will

Staff, develop, and maintain an effective workforce to achieve department goals; responsible for employee selection, counseling, training, and development.

Plan, direct, and control the work of assigned work centers to maximize utilization of employees, equipment, and materials within budget and quality standards. Oversees overtime and absenteeism control.

Own overall performance of the area; facilitate smooth hand‑offs between shifts, identify and lead continuous‑improvement activities, and set staffing levels with Shift Supervisors and the Operations Manager.

Maintain the quality and quantity of manufactured parts to meet engineering specifications and reduce scrap and rework.

Analyze operating reports and take corrective action to control costs; provide budget data to the Operations Manager as requested and implement modern manufacturing methods to reduce costs and enhance quality.

Manage administrative functions including attendance, time‑off, training records, and internal communications.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.

One year of supervisory work experience.

Five years of manufacturing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or completion of Eaton’s Front Line Leader Associate program.

Experience in shop operations (machining, assembly, fabrication) and manufacturing systems (Lean, Shop Floor Control, MRP, routings, BOMs, SPC, ISO 9000).

Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of employment law (OSHA, FMLA, harassment).

Experience with lean manufacturing/Operational Excellence tools (5S+, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Visual Management).

Experience in an Engineered‑to‑Order environment.

Skills

Self‑starter able to work independently or in a team with limited supervision.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and multi‑tasking ability.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
