What You’ll Do
As the Talent & Organizational Development Director, you will lead divisional talent development, organizational planning, and people development processes across North America. You will report directly to the Vice President of Human Resources for the Seating Division, North America, with functional alignment to regional and global Talent & Organizational Development leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and lead the Talent & Organizational Development strategy for the Seating Division across North America, including manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Mexico.
- Lead People Review, Key Reservoir Review, succession planning, career development, and talent action planning processes.
- Partner with senior business and HR leaders to align talent priorities with strategic business objectives.
- Support the Strategic Planning Process from an HR and organizational capability perspective.
- Manage regional performance review and objective-setting processes.
- Facilitate career development, mobility, cross-functional moves, and geographic mobility discussions.
- Ensure talent development tools and processes are used effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Provide leadership for mentoring, coaching, early career, and employee development programs.
- Coach and empower managers and HR teams on talent development, performance management, and people development practices.
- Use data, KPIs, and talent indicators to guide organizational decisions and align development priorities with business needs.
- Lead short-, medium-, and long-term HR action plans that support talent development strategies.
- Support diversity, inclusion, engagement, and organizational culture initiatives.
- Lead processes related to potential identification, validation, and development planning for key talent populations.
- Collaborate across borders with teams in the U.S., Mexico, and the broader global organization.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a strategic, hands-on Talent Development or HR leader who can operate at both the enterprise and operational level. This person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive or manufacturing environment and partnering closely with leaders across corporate, regional, and plant-based teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field. Masters preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in Talent Development, Organizational Development, HR Business Partner leadership, or related HR leadership roles.
- Experience working in a large, complex, matrixed organization.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, plant, operations, or industrial environments.
- Ability to influence, align, and engage leaders across functions and geographies.
- Data-driven, results-oriented approach to talent and organization development.
