Sustainability Reporting And Sustainability Management
The transformation to a sustainable society requires the change of entire industries. We in the "Sustainability, Corporate Environmental Protection & Energy Management" department want to actively shape this change at Mercedes-Benz and be part of the solution. We are responsible for the environmental and energy policy of the Mercedes-Benz Group and, with regard to the environmental impacts of products and processes, we are co-creators of the sustainable business strategy.
In our teams, we develop essential parts of the environmental sustainability of our current and future business activities, for example, we create holistic environmental assessments such as life cycle analyses of our vehicles. In the context of series and module group work, we drive the development of more sustainable vehicles and strive for a continuous reduction of our use of primary raw materials in resource management. We manage environmental and energy-related management systems, define requirements for product and production-related environmental protection, and create and support risk prevention at our plant locations through due diligence processes. We are responsible for radiation protection and hazardous substance management and coordinate environmental ratings as well as all internal and external environmental reporting.
